Managing Groundwater in the Tracy Subbasin
Under California's Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), the local agencies that manage groundwater in the Tracy Subbasin must form Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) and must develop a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) by January 31, 2022.
The seven GSAs (listed below) in the Tracy Subbasin are beginning the process of working cooperatively to develop a single GSP for the Tracy Subbasin.
- Banta-Carbona Irrigation District
- Byron-Bethany Irrigation District
- City of Lathrop
- City of Tracy
- County of San Joaquin
- Stewart Tract
- West Side Irrigation District
Developing and implementing a strong GSP will depend on input and participation from a variety of communities and stakeholders. This website has been developed to allow interested parties to:
- Register to be notified of opportunities to participate in GSP development
- View the GSP development calendar to see planned events
- View draft documents and provide comments
